As you may have noticed from my recent deviations, I've just gotten into chainmail. Everything I've submitted so far - five deviations - plus another two I don't have photos of yet (my camera has the battery life of an alpaca - and alpacas don't run on batteries) are the product of two days' worth of chainmailling.
I got my rings from The Ring Lord (
theringlord.com/) and have been googling around to find tutorials. I'm still very much a beginner, but I'm making a lot of pretties and having a lot of fun.
My first few pieces were all for my housemates, but now I'm thinking about selling a couple bracelets to defray the cost of the rings. So if you see something that doesn't say I made it for someone, and want to pay $5-$10 plus shipping, give me a shout. Commissions are cool, too, for the moment - who knows when my busy schedule will overtake me again.
I've also been spending a lot of time working on Chaotic Shiny Productions (
chaoticshinyproductions.com/), my company. Yeah, you read that right. I have a company. We sell RPG supplements - mostly 4e D&D, but some systemless stuff - and software for writers and gamers alike. The art in the books is by
digital-marginalia, formerly known as
paperdragoness. You can check out some of the illustrations in her old account's gallery.
So anyway, go check it out, and maybe even buy something.
I'm still running Chaotic Shiny (
chaoticshiny.com/), which continues to be an absurd time sink for myself and thousands of other people. To all of those people's teachers and bosses - I'm so sorry. The site has well over 70 generators at this point, and there's still more on the way.
I'm also looking for a job. I'm a graduating senior. I develop software. I want to move out to the Northwest or possibly CO. Please hire me.
